Senior Cloud Entwickler (m / w / d)

We are currently supporting our client in sourcing a Senior Cloud Developer (m / f / d) for an exciting and long-term remote project in the insurance domain.

About the Role

As a Senior Cloud Developer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and deployment of data integration and ETL solutions within a modern AWS-based data platform. You will collaborate with agile teams and contribute to high-impact projects involving cloud technologies, big data tools, and microservices architecture.

1. Creation of physical data integration models and other design specifications, as well as their implementation into executable ETL jobs.
2. Responsibility for the design and implementation of data integration models and business rules in line with the existing architecture of the Data Marketplace.
3. Deployment of the developed components in an AWS cloud environment and ensuring smooth operation.
4. Validation of developments through unit and performance tests.
5. Design and implementation of automated tests as part of CI/CD processes.
6. Content coordination of implementation activities within the team based on own concepts.
7. Application of agile working methods (Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, CI, Pair Programming) in the project context.
8. Preparation of results and concepts for different target groups in a way that is appropriate for the target group.

Qualifications

1. Very good knowledge of ETL development with Talend.
2. Solid experience with Java, Python, Spark, and SQL.
3. Experience in using AWS services (e.g., AWS Cloud Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, S3) as well as the development of microservice architectures.
4. Very good knowledge of Snowflake.
5. Familiarity with on-premises data storage systems, especially DB2.
6. Experience in data modeling, preferably with DataVault, as well as security in the use of data mesh concepts.
7. Knowledge of the functional context of insurance groups, ideally through several years of project experience.
8. Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework SAFe and other agile process models is an advantage.
9. Strong analytical and conceptual skills, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills.
10. High degree of customer focus.
11. Fluent in English (must-have).
12. Fluent in German (strongly preferred).
