About the Job
We're seeking a highly skilled and analytical Wholesale FP&A Manager to join our European finance team. In this role, you'll help drive the growth of the organization by providing financial stewardship and analytical insights into key financial and operational performance metrics. You'll act as a strategic partner to the business, evaluate operational processes and business opportunities, drive profitability, and support planning and forecasting for our European Wholesale business. You'll report to the FP&A Director Europe and work closely with members of the finance and accounting teams as well as cross-functional business partners.
Key responsibilities :
- Lead full P&L planning (AFP FCST SBP) analysis and reporting of the European Wholesale business, aligning with cross-functional leads (Sales, Analytics, Operations, Planning, Merchandising) and business objectives.
- Deliver coherent, timely, and consistent financial analysis to the European Sales organization that stimulates discussions on business trends and financial issues. Become an advisor and coach to the Sales organization on all financial aspects.
- Analyze sales trends, margins, and operational expenses to provide actionable insights and support with accurate and timely reporting.
- Lead financial discussions in weekly and monthly business update calls, working closely with senior management and highlighting any risks or opportunities.
- Prepare financial analysis of business model changes to support strategic business decisions.
- Develop relationships, processes, and continuous improvement through proactive collaboration with teams.
- Drive automation and efficiency in financial planning processes.
- Manage a diverse team of 4 financial analysts dedicated to LSE Wholesale Finance Europe.
- Focus on profitability and productivity, including initiatives like optimizing discounting, promotional strategies, Opex control, and cost savings.
- Enhance financial reporting tools and dashboards for better visibility and decision-making.
- Work independently and entrepreneurially with minimal direction in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Collaborate with business partners and accounting to ensure monthly revenue and Opex accruals are in place, ensuring compliance with financial policies and controls.
- Ensure operations' results are accurately recorded in financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Support a high-performing finance team by fostering collaboration and excellence, contributing to finance talent development.
About you
- BS / BA in Finance / Business Administration (Masters degree or ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent experience preferred)
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in financial or business planning, forecasting, and analysis
- Minimum of 3 years of team management experience
- Experience with Essbase, Hyperion Financial Management, Excel (must); SAP (preferred)
- Strong communication skills at all levels
- Experience in FMCG sector or with consumer brands is advantageous
- Ability to manage large data sets, including collection, consolidation, analysis, and synthesis into a cohesive framework
- Broad knowledge of P&L financial analysis and reporting
- Exceptional analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills
- Strong collaboration skills with business partners, especially in Commercial areas like Sales, Merchandising, and Planning, focusing on key financial metrics
