Job Description

As ULS continues to expand, we are seeking a Global Account Manager to develop and implement comprehensive 3-5-year strategic plans for our Global & Strategic accounts in the Wire & Cable and Chemical & Material sectors within the EMEA region.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive global, integrated, 3-5-year account strategy plans for assigned Global accounts, with ongoing updates and annual refreshes.
  • Identify broader customer needs and opportunities across the global customer footprint, providing feedback to account management leadership.
  • Build high-touch relationships, earning trusted advisor status and loyalty from senior customer leadership.
  • Identify influential centers within multi-national organizations and relay insights to UL’s executive leadership.
  • Strengthen UL’s relationships with global customer buying centers, supported by a dedicated account team.
  • Maintain industry connections to understand market trends and anticipate industry shifts globally.
  • Leverage customer relationships to ensure renewals and identify future sales opportunities.
  • Lead sales of integrated solutions to assigned global tier accounts.
  • Collaborate with other global account managers on growth opportunities, including cross-sell and up-sell initiatives.
  • Coordinate and support team sales efforts on deals requiring specific expertise or geographic focus.
  • Utilize sales strategies to drive regional and subsidiary sales within global accounts.
  • Connect with relevant sales personnel to leverage their expertise in closing deals.
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews with sales management to update account plans and improve sales execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field. Minimum of 6 years’ sales experience or demonstrated account management capability.
  • Proven sales leadership with experience in testing, inspection, certification services, software, or advisory services, preferably within Wire & Cable and Chemical & Material sectors.
  • Experience managing and selling to large, diverse accounts in coordination with account teams.
  • Excellent communication skills across multiple levels and functions.
  • Ability to clearly communicate information and deliver effective presentations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Fluency in Italian or German, along with English.
