DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (OUTLICENSING & INLICENSING)

Our parent corporation has been operating since 1958 and is one of the pioneering pharmaceutical companies in Turkey. Our company, with a focus on R&D, manufactures with international quality standards and currently exports products worldwide. Our US arm is seeking a Director of Business Development (OutLicensing & InLicensing).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Life Sciences
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business development in the pharma sector, with emphasis on OutLicensing
  • Excellent written and verbal command of English; a second language is desirable
  • Experience in team leadership and department management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong team player, analytical thinker, effective in problem solving, and solution-oriented
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Job Description:

  • Position reports directly to the CEO / Chairman of the Board
  • Primary responsibilities include executing outlicensing & inlicensing activities, including financial analysis
  • Manage existing and new projects aligned with the company’s business development strategies and expansion plans
  • Monitor global and national markets for new product developments, innovations, and sectoral trends in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Identify potential strategic partners and handle all commercial & contractual negotiations
  • Develop new geographical markets and pursue out-licensing contracts in these markets
  • Lead the preparation and coordination of Product Selection Meetings, ensuring efficient collaboration between the BD department and other internal departments
