System AIT Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

  • Overall AIT technical responsibility and go-to person for a project across disciplines, collaborating closely with the AIT manager.
  • Technical coordination of an assigned AIT project team.
  • Ensure implementation and compliance with OHB’s AIT processes.
  • Define AIT flow, ground support equipment, and facility concepts in the early phase.
  • Standardize and update AIT documentation, e.g., AIT Plan, Facility Plan, Ground Support Equipment Deployment Plan/Specs, AIT Risk Register, Procedures, etc.
  • Ensure ground support equipment suitability and integration/test definition across disciplines.
  • Control the technical coherence and consistency of documents, ground support, equipment, and test setups and approaches.
  • Define and maintain interfaces to engineering, verification, and PA.
  • Support the preparation and participation at test reviews (IRR/TRR, PTR) in coordination with the AIT Manager.
  • Organize results data review and drive respective approvals.
  • Organize and maintain AIT data storage for the respective project.
  • Define and manage AIT tools usage for the assigned project.
  • Support the AIT manager with planning activities.
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentoring to employees.
  • Perform other reasonable and equivalent activities according to existing knowledge and skills.

Your Qualifications

  • Completed engineering studies in a relevant area or equivalent qualification.
  • Extensive experience in space, technical competence in several relevant areas, security in handling space processes, and a structured working method.
  • Good communication skills, high problem-solving orientation, flexibility, and resilience.
  • Leadership competencies.
  • Strategic action including planning with foresight, high cost and schedule awareness, and timely detection and avoidance of technical risks.
  • Willingness to travel and work shifts.
