Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Founding Team Member Opportunity (Equity-Based)

We’re GSN, a next-gen E-Commerce SaaS startup - just a few months in but already creating serious momentum. Our mission : to become the operating system for modern e-commerce brands by centralizing, automating, and optimizing every operational workflow in one powerful platform.

We’ve validated the pain points. We’ve got the product vision. We’ve got marketing and design covered. Now we’re looking for a technical co-founder to join our core team and build the backbone of GSN with us.

Who You Are

• System Builder – You’ve built or scaled SaaS products, ideally in B2B or e-commerce infrastructure. You know what robust, modular, and scalable architecture looks like.
• API Architect – You’re confident in building and integrating APIs with tools like Shopify, Amazon, Meta Ads, Google Ads, Stripe, Notion, and more.
• Backend Leader – You master technologies like Node.js, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, OAuth, Redis, and Webhooks. Experience with microservices and multi-tenant architectures is a big plus.
• Automation Pro – You understand the power of automation and know how to architect systems that reduce friction, save time, and unlock real efficiency for users.
• Product Mindset – You think beyond code. You think in terms of user flows, customer problems, and building features that truly make a difference.
• Hands-on Founder – You’re not afraid to get your hands dirty. You love building things that matter and leading teams by example.
• Fast Learner – You thrive in fast-paced environments and adapt quickly to new tech, challenges, and user needs.
• Startup DNA – You’re ready to go from zero to one. You’re comfortable with ambiguity, resource constraints, and making decisions under pressure.

What You’ll Do

• Architect and lead the development of our SaaS platform - from MVP to enterprise-ready.
• Design and build backend infrastructure that integrates dozens of key third-party tools into a unified user interface.
• Implement scalable, secure and fast APIs and microservices.
• Work closely with our UI / UX and marketing team to ship polished, user-focused features.
• Lead technical hiring and build a lean, high-performing engineering team.
• Represent the product in investor meetings, tech due diligence, and public demos.
• Shape our product roadmap and iterate quickly based on customer feedback.

Location & Language

You should be based in the EU or Switzerland and open to occasional travel to our HQ in Germany Würzburg or elsewhere. We work in English or German - so should you.
