Your Job

  • Ongoing monitoring of technology markets (e.g., Communication Services or Internet of Things) regarding trends, dynamics, and changes, as well as deriving the impact on the market and relevant companies.

  • Quantitative modelling and forecasting of global technology market developments with Excel and Python-based models.

  • Interpret data and extract quantitative implications from qualitative observations for the markets you oversee (e.g., the influence of the Russia-Ukraine war, corporate digital transformation, or the influence of new cloud computing technologies on various markets).

  • Create independent analyses, reports, and additional product offers for clients to gain an in-depth understanding of your markets.

  • Structured, appealing, and high-quality preparation of research and analysis results in PowerPoint and Excel. Knowledge of Python would be beneficial.

  • Clear, targeted communication with internal and external relevant stakeholders (e.g., team, sales, marketing, IT) throughout the projects.

Your Skills

  • Completed (Bachelor's / Master's) studies in economics, social or natural sciences, or a related discipline.

  • First practical work experience, e.g., as an analyst with experience in project work or (partial) project management at a university institute.

  • Interest in market modelling concepts in the world of technology, as well as a basic understanding of the process and methods of research projects.

  • Very good analytical and problem structuring skills and a fast comprehension ability.

  • Ability to conduct basic mathematical calculations and familiarity with statistical methods with the support of existing Excel/Python tools.

  • Knowledge of basic programming (preferably Python), or the willingness to learn it, is a plus.

  • Independent, reliable team player with very good written and spoken English skills; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
