IONOS Cloud is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Software Engineer (f/m/d) to join our Mitigation Workgroup team.
This is an opportunity to be a key contributor in building the foundation of Europe's leading data sovereign cloud provider. We need you: A passionate and experienced software engineer who possesses an intrinsic drive to write high-quality, production-ready code. We value experience gained in environments where the benefits of robust software practices have been witnessed firsthand. Strong expertise in Go/Golang and the ability to lead small software projects are essential.

Tasks
- Drive the development of cloud-native services on a modern open-source stack powered by Go.
- Conceptualize and propose new services and products in a highly dynamic cloud environment, often navigating uncertainty and gathering requirements independently.
- Provide expert technical consultation to other developers and departments, addressing complex challenges and offering innovative solutions.
- Establish and maintain high-quality software workflows that enhance our CI/CD pipeline and ensure efficient delivery.
- Collaborate to continuously improve the quality, reliability, and performance of our services.
- Mentor and guide other developers on software projects, ensuring adherence to project goals and technical best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to design, develop, test, and deploy mature, production-ready code, with significant expertise in Go.
- Extensive experience using Kubernetes not only for orchestration but also for developing and deploying custom controllers directly within the Kubernetes framework.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and effectively troubleshoot in production environments.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Fluency in German is highly advantageous for working with government clients.
