Job Purpose
To assess, monitor, plan and manage the efficient utilization of cash and financial services in a manner consistent with the objectives of the Company.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and funds available for investment
- Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
- Use hedging to mitigate financial risks related to the interest rates on the company's borrowings, as well as on its foreign exchange positions
- Manage relationships with banks,
- Establish sustainable relationship with banks
- Maintain credit rating agency relationships
- Arrange for equity and debt financing
- Monitor the activities of third parties handling outsourced treasury functions on behalf of the company
- Advise management on the liquidity aspects of its short- and long-range planning
- Oversee the extension of credit to customers
- Maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities
- Manage overall cash flow of the company as to minimize financial borrowing and risks,
- Make supplier payments by ensuring necessary information flow within the Company
- Manage the credit and collection activities for the country,
- Lead the local team to heighten and maximize performance in DSO, cash and other AR metrics
- Obtain and manage credit securities like Letter of Credit, bank guaranty, advanced payments and payment plans,
- Review and analyze credit applications and risks, through research and analysis, report and annotate findings and make decisions as needed,
- Control and manage cheque operation, bad debt portfolio and follow the cases by support of local lawyers,
- Make recommendations for credit limits on new accounts and increase credit lines on existing accounts,
- Conduct and participate in management reviews of significant past-due accounts receivable status reporting,
- Review and release customer orders on credit hold in the order processing system,
- Prepare the monthly group reports, including cash collection planning and ad hoc inquiries in accordance with policies,
- Prepare weekly, monthly and yearly direct and indirect cash flow reports (short term & long term)
- Ensure an adequate allowance for doubtful accounts and sales returns is kept in line with audit procedures,
- Ensure the credit department interacts well with customers, suppliers, providers, agencies and departmental colleagues, e.g. sales.
- Interface in a professional and business like manner with sales, operations, senior management, and other business teams to maximize efficiencies in the process.
Education/Professional experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a related area
- Good verbal and written skills in English
- Strong team management skills
- Advanced analytical skills and ability to process data,
- Very good knowledge of MS Office applications,
- Very good knowledge of SAP
- Very good knowledge of Power BI
