We're Hiring Commissioning Expert – Secondary System

Are you an experienced Commissioning Expert in Secondary System ready to bring your expertise to the forefront of offshore wind energy?

At TIS, we play a vital role in driving forward Europe’s energy transition. By supporting large-scale grid expansion projects, we contribute directly to the integration of renewable energy across the continent.

We are currently seeking passionate and skilled professionals to join our Commissioning Team for upcoming offshore substation projects — where your work will truly make a difference.

Your Responsibilities

You will play a key role in ensuring the successful commissioning and quality of secondary systems across several offshore projects.

Your scope of work will include:

• Conducting functional testing and commissioning of protection, control, and communication systems
• Performing quality assurance for secondary systems based on project documentation and internal standards
• Witnessing supplier activities during installation and FAT processes
• Coordinating daily operations with internal and external site teams
• Reporting daily progress and updating documentation (snag lists, technical reviews, test protocols)
• Participating in acceptance tests (factory, shipyard, and offshore platforms)
• Supporting troubleshooting, repair, and reliability testing activities
• Ensuring HSE and QA compliance, contributing to improvements and monitoring implementation
• Traveling to FAT and project sites in Germany and the Netherlands

Your Profile

• University degree in Electrical Engineering (Master/Diploma)
• Proven experience in commissioning, secondary system testing, and protection/control wiring
• Familiarity with technical standards such as DIN VDE, IEC, DNVGL
• Strong understanding of LV systems and control communication interfaces
• Valid GWO training
