Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a seasoned Cyber Systems Administrator with Linux to join our team at the Regional Cyber Center-Europe.
Location: Wiesbaden, Germany
In this role, you will:
- Configure, deploy, patch, and maintain approximately 400 RedHat servers across three separate network enclaves.
- Configure, deploy, update, and maintain physical, virtual, or containerized Defensive Cyber Operation services.
- Collaborate with Defensive Operations and other Cyber Center customers to plan, build, test, and deploy new services as needed.
- Engage with data center owners to install, configure, troubleshoot, or decommission servers and associated services.
- Manage identity stores, authentication, policies, and authorization policies in a Linux-based domain.
- Maintain RMF STIG compliance of all servers and services, create and update PO&AMs, and meet other DoD compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
- 8 years of experience in Systems Engineering with a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or Business Administration; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Must qualify for technical expert status accreditation (TESA) by having a bachelor's degree in a STEM field or Business Administration plus 3 years of specialized experience, or an associate’s degree plus 7 years of specialized experience, or a major certification plus 7 years of specialized experience.
- Active DoD Approved 8140 Certification (e.g., CASP+, CCNP Security, CCSP) and (e.g., CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CEH, Cloud+, CySA+, PenTest+ or SSCP), with 8140 Residential within 90 days of acceptance (e.g., RHCE, RHCSA, RHCA, or UNIX Certified Administrator).
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance or higher.
Preferred:
- Experience and familiarity with Linux, Network IDS, GigaMon, GitLab, PodMan, SaltStack, RedHat IdM, Keycloak, proxy services, VMWare, basic Linux Bash scripting, and Python.

Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This range reflects typical compensation based on experience and other factors.
