As a Senior Data Analyst at simpleclub, you’ll be our data champion!
In this individual contributor role, you’ll help drive data-informed decisions across all areas – from business and marketing to product. Through smart analyses, automated reports, and top-notch data quality, you’ll ensure we always have the best insights!
- You advise on the right KPIs and reporting, proactively challenge the status quo, and introduce change in coordination with your stakeholders.
- Drive data by owning and maintaining the BigQuery infrastructure to support Business, Marketing, and Product analytics.
- Automate existing reports, migrate data into the data warehouse, and ensure smooth analytics operations.
- Develop and enforce data governance practices, including documentation, validation, and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and integrity across all systems.
- Develop and maintain data transformation processes. Design and implement scalable data models that are easy for stakeholders to query and understand.
- Using Tableau and other BI tools, create dashboards that look great and enable smart decision-making.
- Work closely with Leadership, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Product to drive data-driven projects forward.
- Automate data extraction, transformation, and reporting to boost efficiency and accuracy.
- Keep up to date with the latest data technologies and best practices.
- Ensure data is cleanly integrated and transformed through ETL / ELT pipelines.
- Serve as an internal thought leader for data strategy, ensuring simpleclub remains state-of-the-art in data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Experience in end-to-end data architectures, including data warehousing, pipeline automation, and analytics.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and BigQuery, with expertise in writing complex queries and managing data warehousing solutions.
- Experience with ETL / ELT tools (e.g., Fivetran) for efficient data processing and automation.
- Familiarity with AI and successful integration into workflows.
- Expertise in data visualization with Tableau and other BI tools.
- Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and automation.
- Knowledge of data governance and security, including data classification, masking, and encryption.
- Strong statistical skills, including cohort analysis and deriving actionable insights.
- Excellent project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams.
- Ability to communicate data insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Educational background with a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Business; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience in Data Analytics, BI, or a related field, preferably in a B2B SaaS, education, or HR tech environment.
- Experience with CRM systems like HubSpot or Salesforce for structuring and utilizing revenue data.

Salary: We value transparency. The salary band for this role in Germany is €66,980 - €90,620 gross annually. For other locations, we adapt to the local market. Salary is reviewed annually and based on skills and experience.
