Due to the growth in our European business , we are looking for a motivated colleague to join our Frankfurt office as Associate Director, Credit Analyst.
In this role you will be responsible for the preparation and review of the full credit application package for our corporate clients covering limit proposal and all relevant risk types (credit risk, fraud risk, sanction risk, sustainability/climate risk, transaction risk etc.). You will also monitor those risk on an ongoing basis.
You will closely collaborate with our Coverage, Global Account Manager and Risk Approver teams responsible for Germany so apart from being fluent in English, you should also be able to speak German fluently.
• Responsibility for end-to-end credit analysis for a portfolio of German corporate clients as well as analysis of new clients and transactions. This includes:
- Discussing the dynamics and nature of the Client’s industry, including key risk aspects;
- Conducting in-depth analysis of the Client's competitive positioning, and management strength
- Articulation of the Client’s strategy and an assessment of its clarity and associated execution risks
- Assessment of funding strategy, financial policy, treasury activity, and liquidity
- Analysis of balance sheet strength, cash flow, profitability vulnerability, via ratio and sensitivity analysis
- Evaluating risks associated with proposed transactions
• Preparation of various analyses, such as industry-specific reviews, portfolio reviews, stress tests
• Completion of account spreading and scorecard determination, proposing credit grading to Risk Approvers
• Finalization of relevant Credit Application for assigned clients
• Monitoring key entity and industry-wide events, covenants, and risk triggers
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in corporate analysis gained either in audit, banking, rating agency, treasury or accounting environment would be preferred but not mandatory
• Strong analytical ability, focused on the assessment and calibration of credit risk
• Well organized, able to multi-task and balance competing demands
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to work across cultures and within a dynamic environment
• Fluency in English and German
• Able to hold credible dialogue at all levels of the organisation, as well as with clients
