We are looking for an experienced and motivated Manager Occupational Health and Safety (f/m/d/x) for deployment in Düsseldorf as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  1. Introduction and auditing of global OHS standards and processes
  2. Provide global consultancy support to senior managers and local HSE personnel
  3. Work with management teams to ensure timely closure of corrective actions from audits
  4. Drive a sustainably compliant OHS culture within the organization
  5. Appoint and manage external advisors and establish links to regulatory agencies
  6. Support legal entities with accident reduction and improvement plans
  7. Assist in developing OHS training needs analysis and facilitate the rollout of training programs, including delivering some training elements
  8. Establish communication opportunities for OHS staff across entities via conferences, forums, intranet, etc.
  9. Consult on implementing our Integrated Management System for QHSSE, focusing on Health & Safety and ISO 45001 standards
  10. Support the international rollout of software systems to digitalize OHS processes
  11. Ensure successful delivery of global OHS projects and coordinate continuous improvements
  12. Develop KPIs, produce data, and report on performance against standards
  13. Organize OHS performance assessments

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering or natural sciences with a focus on environment or chemistry
  • Several years of experience in health, safety, and environment management
  • Strong project management skills
  • Knowledge of auditing techniques and ISO 45001 internal auditor qualification
  • Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus
  • Good IT system knowledge (experience with Quentic is a plus)
  • Broad understanding of international business
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to travel globally
