About the role

As a network expert, you will manage all aspects of a modern network and telecommunications infrastructure in an environment characterized by high complexity and dynamic change. You will ensure the reliable and resilient operation of a wide range of network, router, switch, remote access, proxy, NAC, SOC, SIEM, CSIRT, firewall, and telecommunications systems, aligned with IT/IT Security strategy. You will also be responsible for managing projects and coordinating with specialists from other departments.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Support, administration, planning, and further development of the Cisco network infrastructure (LAN/WLAN), as well as the European WAN, firewall, VPN, and security systems.
2. Analysis, design, implementation, and support of complex network and system solutions with a focus on Information Security and cloud environments.
3. Proposal and implementation of cybersecurity concepts.
4. Monitoring of information security events, collection of logs, analysis, and evaluation.
5. Recording, reporting, documenting, and mitigating operational faults, including coordination with internal/external service providers.
6. Responsibility for information security sub-areas of the IT infrastructure.

Your Qualifications and Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
2. Sound knowledge in the administration and configuration of LAN and WLAN networks in complex Cisco Enterprise environments and data centers.
3. Experience with cloud products, networks, proxies, and firewalls.
4. Good knowledge of cybersecurity and security frameworks.
5. Project management experience.
6. Proficiency in English and German.
