Job Description

Since 1996, RQC, LLC has been a trusted leader in Southern California's commercial and governmental Design-Build sector. With projects from coast to coast, including the U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay and Puerto Rico, we are expanding our operations and seeking certified Medium-Voltage Electricians to join our growing Electrical Team for Southeast projects, including but not limited to Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana, Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base in Georgia, and Pensacola Naval Air Station in Florida.

Join Our Team as a traveling Medium-Voltage Electrician across Southeast projects!

NOTE: You MUST HAVE CURRENT, VALID MEDIUM-VOLTAGE CERTIFICATION FROM THE NCSCB TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.

Responsibilities:

  1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures on commercial and government construction projects, including cable pulling, splicing, and terminating. Perform electrical work such as conduit running, wire pulling, switchgear installation, and duct bank setup when not working on medium-voltage equipment.
  2. Ensure all work complies with code and safety standards.
  3. Utilize your electrical expertise to support our mission of delivering top-tier Design-Build projects, primarily for military and defense contracts.
  4. Travel regularly to multiple projects across the Southeast.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of commercial, industrial, or facilities operations experience as a journey-level wireman; military or large commercial construction experience is a plus.
  • High School Diploma or GED, supplemented by completion of a union/private/military/trade school apprenticeship program.
  • Valid electrician's license or journeyman card.
  • Valid Certificate from the Cable Splicing Termination Board (NCSCB) in splicing and terminating shielded medium voltage (5KV to 35KV) power cables.
  • CPR, First Aid, OSHA 30-hour Certifications.
  • Additional certifications such as Trenching/Shoring, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Forklift/Manlift are preferred.

Tools Needed: Personal basic tools including knife, pliers, screwdrivers, nut drivers, saws, hammer, levels, channel locks, voltage tester, tool pouch, wire strippers, socket set, tape measure, flashlight, cordless drill, wrench set, etc.
