The Opportunity
As part of ongoing growth, the firm is seeking to hire experienced Proprietary Traders or Equity Traders with a strong track record in short-term and intraday strategies. The role is based in either Berlin or Munich , offering a high-impact opportunity within a well-capitalized trading platform that combines entrepreneurial autonomy with institutional-grade support. Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and continuously refine proprietary trading strategies across equities and related instruments, with a focus on short-term, intraday, or high-frequency approaches.
- Leverage algorithmic tools and real-time market data to identify and capitalize on trading opportunities, ensuring optimal execution and trade efficiency.
- Monitor risk and exposure in real time , applying disciplined risk management practices and maintaining adherence to defined trading parameters.
- Collaborate closely with in-house quantitative researchers, data scientists, and developers to enhance model performance, execution logic, and trading infrastructure.
- Contribute to the firm’s intellectual capital by sharing market insights, research findings, and trading innovations with peers and leadership.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated success in proprietary or equity trading with a strong emphasis on short-term or intraday strategies .
- Experience in high-frequency trading (HFT) , statistical arbitrage, or market-making strategies is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, R) and familiarity with trading system development.
- Deep understanding of market microstructure , order book dynamics, and execution algorithms.
- Strong risk acumen with the ability to maintain composure and decision-making clarity under pressure.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to work in a fast-paced, intellectually rigorous environment.
