Position Overview

The Embassy of India in Berlin is seeking applications for the position of Programme Coordinator & Social Media Operator. The role involves managing cultural engagements, administrative tasks, social media strategy, content creation, and event organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Managing the office of the Director, the Tagore Centre, including cultural and administrative activities.
  2. Scheduling meetings and managing diaries with cultural stakeholders.
  3. Liaising with Indian and German cultural organizations and planning events.
  4. Monitoring cultural developments in India and Germany, researching, sourcing, and collating information.
  5. Preparing reports, briefs, and summaries.
  6. Developing social media strategies, creating content, and managing social media platforms and email newsletters.
  7. Photo and video editing as required.
  8. Preparing reports and maintaining records and stock registers.
  9. Performing any other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Proficiency in German (B2 level) and excellent English skills.
  • Residence status: German/EU/Indian citizen with valid work and residence permits. Student visa holders are not eligible.
  • Proficient in MS Office and IT skills, including presentation and Excel.
  • Experience in social media strategy, content creation, and trend awareness.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience; knowledge of the cultural landscape in Germany and India is essential.
  • Age between 21-40 years.

Compensation and Application Process

Starting salary is EUR 3494 per month, including social security contributions and statutory leaves.
