Amazon is looking for a Robotics Deployment Engineer (DE) for the European region. Your role as DE includes supporting the technical execution of Robotics deployment projects. You will travel to construction sites, interact with on-site teams and remote stakeholders, analyze and resolve technical issues, and execute, supervise, and validate the completion of deployment milestones. Besides supporting deployment projects, you will provide training and technical presentations to other teams and collaborate closely with product development and support teams.

Travel requirement for this role is up to 75%.

Key job responsibilities

• Possess a solid understanding of IT and data network concepts (e.g., Linux OS, Internet, Ethernet, Wireless protocols).
• Experience scripting to automate tasks in Linux or Windows PowerShell.
• Troubleshoot and repair system issues.
• Be a self-starter eager to learn through self-study and exploration.
• Enjoy hands-on activities.

A day in the life

Your day as a Deployment Engineer might start with a trip to the airport to travel to a construction site. Upon arrival, you will undergo a safety induction and meet the onsite team. You will review activities related to the project plan and milestones, address any technical issues, and participate in meetings with local and remote stakeholders. The day concludes with a team dinner.

Grundqualifikationen

• Completed Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication, Robotics, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Passionate about hands-on troubleshooting (hardware, software, infrastructure).
• Proficiency in Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of data network concepts and protocols.
• Experience with scripting languages.
• Ability to provide examples of resolving software, hardware, and network issues.
• Ability to provide examples of using scripting to automate tasks.
• Comfortable working in a construction site environment.
