To support our project management services team in Karlsruhe, we are looking for you in full-time (40h) and unlimited employment as Cost Controller (m/f/d).

Your profile

  • You hold a degree (Diplom/Master/Bachelor) in Finance/Business Administration/Construction.
  • You have experience in the chemical, oil & gas or related industry.
  • You possess at least 5 years of relevant experience in construction projects.
  • You are knowledgeable in SAP PS, CO, FI, MM.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel & Power BI.
  • Fluent negotiation skills in English complete your profile.

Your mission

  • As a Cost Controller, you will compile various project cost reports: actuals, VoWD, forecasts, accruals, including actual vs. budget analysis, EAC, and trend analyses.
  • You will forecast expenditures, plan budgets, classify costs by type, track man-hours, verify supplier invoices, and manage change events affecting the budget.
  • You will verify cost allocation against work orders, ensure correct coding of requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, invoices, estimates, changes, and variations.
  • You will monitor and analyze variances to control project costs and recommend appropriate interventions.
  • You will ensure that cost control activities are performed in compliance with procurement and cost processes, applying best practices and maintaining high-quality information for audits.
  • You will work closely with accounts payable to ensure accurate coding of invoices to projects for easy expense tracking.
