The real-time tracking solution Better Tracking lets drivers and consignees take control of their time. Real-time visibility, interactive package tracking, and accurate ETAs mean deliveries happen more seamlessly, and the door is already open when the driver arrives. It consists of two teams:

The Data Solutions team:

Creates data pipelines for Machine Learning models, Decision Trees, and other prediction models for analytics and AI-powered solutions.

The Tracking team:

Creates exciting and engaging UX to enable consignees to influence their delivery experience and reduce the communication gap between the driver and consignee.

You will be taking care of:

• Engaging in strategic discussions with business development to shape the company's direction and have a substantial business impact.

• Acting as a role model in facilitating issues, discussions, and alignment with product development teams.

• Fostering shared ownership on cross-team topics and inspiring others.

• Aligning team strategies with product tribe and company strategies, collaborating with stakeholders like Engineering Facilitators.

• Driving and defining architecture with the team.

• Identify the right technologies to use and effectively explain their impact.

• Taking a hands-on approach to coding, reviewing, and improving processes.

• Collaborating with Product Owners to align the product roadmap, ensuring cross-team efforts in the product tribe are well-coordinated.

• Promoting best practices, managing tech debt, and refining development, testing, and release processes.

• Practicing servant leadership to empower and support teams through influence and collaboration.

You check these boxes:

• 8 years of hands-on experience in engineering.

• 4 years of people management experience as part of that engineering tenure.

• Experience with engineering tech stacks, including microservice backends, webhooks, and APIs.

• Strong JVM background, including Kotlin and low-level understanding of relevant concepts.

• Knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot.

• Proficiency in JavaScript and Frontend frameworks.

• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.

• Experience with highly concurrent applications.

• Track record with DevOps & SRE best practices.

• You’re prepared to spend about half of your time contributing directly – writing code, improving systems, and refining processes where needed.

• Limited or imperfect information doesn't stop you from making a correct deduction.

• You are an excellent communicator in English who can proactively drive collaboration and align cross-functional teams.

It is awesome if you are also familiar with:

• Spring WebFlux

• Web assembly

• AWS, IaC

• Vue.js
