The Team

You will join the Process Query Engine team, which enables customers to interactively process large enterprise data sets. As we grow, we invest heavily in the scalability and updatability of our engine.

The Role

As an Engineering Manager, you will be a key people manager with technical expertise. Leading a team of engineers, you will oversee performance, foster a positive team culture, provide technical guidance, and collaborate across departments to meet strategic goals.

Responsibilities

1. Manage team execution and performance, maintaining motivation and effectiveness.
2. Support career development and performance of team members.
3. Foster a culture of trust, ownership, and collaboration.
4. Contribute technically as needed, guiding the team in technical matters.
5. Collaborate with Product Managers and other leaders on goals and strategies.
6. Prioritize initiatives and ensure timely, quality delivery of projects.
7. Participate in hiring and team growth.
8. Advocate for the team and communicate their work effectively.

Qualifications

1. Strong background in software engineering, especially in building or operating large-scale distributed systems.
2. Proven leadership in people management, mentoring, and fostering inclusive team cultures.
3. Effective collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
4. Commitment to engineering excellence and process improvement.
5. Proficiency in Java and microservices architecture.
6. Expertise in distributed systems.
