Product Specialist – Energy Markets & Trading (f / m / d)

Responsibilities

• Facilitate end-to-end product development for new propositions (e.g., smart-meter tariffs, flexibility products) focusing on energy markets relevant topics in Germany.
• Execute commercial analysis considering various drivers such as market price, risk/reward, regulatory environment, and strategic perspectives.
• Consult product owners with expertise in energy markets, including risk management and monetization of value propositions in wholesale markets.
• Support prioritization of value propositions based on a comprehensive commercial end-to-end perspective in Germany.
• Foster collaboration among regional energy market functions of national and regional brands in Germany with the E.ON Energy Markets unit.
• Manage interfaces between German E.ON internal retail entities and energy market functions.
• Ensure conformity for future retail products along existing IT systems and processes within energy markets.

Requirements / Capabilities

• Degree in Energy Economics, Business Studies, or related fields with strong expertise in Energy Markets.
• Several years of experience and in-depth knowledge of core energy market functions such as risk management (hedging), forecasting, trading, optimization, certificates, and their impact on financial results.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end value chain for existing and future products, including regulatory aspects.
• Entrepreneurial and commercial mindset to facilitate prioritization.
• Proficiency in big data analytical tools (e.g., Python, SQL).
• Project management experience.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration.
• Strong communication skills and experience in interface management.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• High sense of ownership, responsibility, and drive to deliver results.
