Health & Safety Advisor

VF Corporation is looking for an exceptional local to join our team based in Munich, WHSL, DEU.

As the local Health and Safety advisor for a country, you are directly responsible for keeping local management and EMEA H&S management informed on all levels of risk and notifying your line manager (legal director of the country) of any issues. You focus on executing safety programs to ensure the safety of VF employees. You are an advocate and influencer capable of leading cross-functional teams to maintain safety standards. As a collaborator, you enjoy working with different location/brand managers and departments to foster a positive safety culture throughout VF.

How You Will Make a Difference :

• Oversee risk assessments and safety programs across all VF locations.
• Implement a consistent safety culture tailored to each location.
• Collaborate with EMEA H&S, Brands, Human Resources, Maintenance, and Operations to serve as the employee safety representative.
• Develop safety tools, programs, reports, and training to ensure a consistent safety message and minimize risks.
• Ensure all incidents and accidents are reported via our digital platform (Ideagen).
• Track and manage all incidents and employee injuries to minimize risk.
• Support leaders in managing safety incidents and emergency procedures.
• Protect VF’s reputation by raising stakeholder awareness of liability exposure and leading strategic responses to critical issues.
• Ensure compliance with VF global health and safety standards and local regulations.

Skills for Success :

• 2-5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in English.
• Customer-oriented mindset.
• Ability to provide professional H&S support to local management.
• Ability to lead and train cross-departmental/brand teams to achieve results.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of safety regulations (local and VF standards).
• Simple and effective way of working.
• Clear communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Self-motivated and driven.

Educational / Position Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree or related field with a minimum of 2 years of management experience in risk management or safety, or equivalent experience and training.
• Experience in project management and/or leadership preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO and OHSAS standards is a plus.

Physical and Mental Requirements :

• Some travel by air and overnight stays as required.
• Ability to bend, lift, open, and move products and office items weighing 1 to 25 lbs.
