Backend Software Engineer

You will be joining Team FlamingPRO, a cross-functional team based in our lovely new Berlin office, building exciting products for Kleinanzeigen's professional customers. These are not the usual Kleinanzeigen customers that might post something once in a while, but rather customers that run a business and sell their products through our platform, which of course means them having different needs that need to be catered to, just in terms of scale. We are working with Java in the backend and React in the frontend, and our infrastructure is in the process of being migrated to AWS.

What you’ll do

Who you are

1. 3+ years of experience working with Java Spring projects — you would call yourself proficient.
2. Experience with AWS.
3. Having worked with Kafka and MySQL would be a plus.
4. Basic command line skills, enabling you to tackle occasional infrastructure issues.
5. Ability to dig into existing codebases.
6. Communication skills that enable you to seek help and share knowledge inside and outside of the team.
7. Bias towards collaborating with others over facing issues on your own.
8. Ability to improve yourself and the people around you by fearlessly providing and receiving feedback.
