Commercial Banking Tribe

You will join the Commercial Bank Tribe, focusing on the needs of small and medium enterprise clients in Germany, an area of growth and investment within the Corporate Bank.

We are responsible for the digital transformation of approximately 800,000 clients across three brands, including the development of the BizBanking platform, digital sales and service processes, and automation of processes for this segment.

Our tribe is on a journey of extensive digitalization of business processes and migrating applications to the cloud. We work closely with our business colleagues in an agile setup, collaborating with stakeholders and engineers from other areas to achieve a highly automated and adaptable process and application landscape.

As a Data Engineer (f/m/x), you will work in our data squad, mobilizing data and setting up the infrastructure needed to support our business use cases.

Your key responsibilities

  1. Loading data from various systems of record into our platform and making it available for further use.
  2. Providing infrastructure as code with Terraform for data platform and transformation.
  3. Automating deployment and testing processes to deliver fast incremental improvements of our application and platform.
  4. Implementing data governance and protection to adhere to regulatory requirements and policies.
  5. Working in an agile setup, providing feedback to improve our ways of working.

Your skills and experiences

  1. University degree with a focus on technology or science, or equivalent work experience.
  2. Strong programming skills in Java and experience with Apache Airflow.
  3. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies like Google BigQuery, including proficient SQL skills.
  4. Broad experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
  5. Good team player with a passion for technology and engineering, fluent in English.
