Equipment Engineer (d/m/f) Eurofighter Sensors (Software & Electronic Hardware Development), Manching
Airbus Defence and Space in Manching is seeking a highly motivated engineer to join our team responsible for developing sensor equipment solutions for the Eurofighter, including E-Scan Radar and Defensive Aids products. The role covers the entire product lifecycle, from research and feasibility studies to development, integration, qualification, and customer support.
The position involves software and airborne electronic hardware development activities for the Eurofighter E-Scan Radar system (ECRS Mk1). This opportunity is also available with reduced hours and scope.

Your responsibilities include:
- Analyzing Eurofighter avionics and equipment requirements to derive software and hardware development requirements in collaboration with suppliers.
- Supporting requirements-based engineering and validating design concepts.
- Harmonizing development and qualification planning with Airbus Engineering and suppliers.
- Supporting qualification and verification activities at supplier sites.
- Validating software and hardware development artifacts and participating in milestone reviews.
- Conducting technical workshops with stakeholders.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor/Master in Software, Aeronautical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of requirements engineering and development processes for software and airborne electronics.
- Experience with Eurofighter Weapon System Avionics and Radar is advantageous.
- Experience in software and/or hardware development.
- Supplier management experience is a plus.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Interest in international projects and interdisciplinary teamwork.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
