For the Transport Aircraft division, we are seeking a Senior Systemingenieur*in Transportflugzeuge (w/m/d) at the Wunstorf airfield location, to start as soon as possible. In close collaboration with our international client from the aerospace sector, you will significantly shape the spare parts and material management for aircraft fleets, analyzing, redefining, developing, and designing material flows and processes as needed.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead and independently execute system development tasks in the area of transport aircraft and equipment.
  2. Plan (effort and time) for system development.
  3. Create and implement system concepts and models.
  4. Define, validate, and review system requirements.
  5. Develop technical documentation for systems/sub-systems (specifications, integration and test plans, test specifications, design descriptions).
  6. Determine modules and sub-systems in close coordination with responsible disciplines (e.g., hardware, software).
  7. Provide technical/sales support during initiative and proposal phases.
  8. Lead sub-projects or small projects within the transport aircraft and equipment segment.
  9. Create and review design artifacts.
  10. Ensure compliance with relevant standards and norms.

Profile

  • Degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable field.
  • Several years of relevant professional experience.
  • Extensive experience in operational system management of transport aircraft and their equipment within the DEMAR environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of systems, technology, and equipment related to military transport aircraft (e.g., A400M, C-130).
  • Experience with requirements engineering and systems engineering.
  • Good understanding of testing methodologies, processes, and automation.
  • Proficiency with tools such as DOORS, JIRA, IBM RQM, and problem management tools.
  • Experience leading sub-projects, projects, and project teams.
  • Excellent German and English language skills, both spoken and written.

Willingness to travel occasionally is required.
