Responsibilities

  • Work within the Quality Assurance Shipbuilding (QAS) group, focusing on mechanical engineering, locksmithing, and fine sheet metal work for manufacturing and installation topics.
  • Plan, execute, and technically carry out inspections and tests according to specifications.
  • Prepare inspections by compiling test documents, certificates, protocols, evidence, and construction documents.
  • Determine readiness for testing in coordination with operational managers.
  • Assess test specifications in consultation with the relevant department.
  • Create test protocols.
  • Conduct ongoing inspections during the manufacturing process and ensure adherence to standards, norms, and regulations.
  • Perform defect assessments in coordination with customers, customer representatives, or appointed persons.
  • Prepare defect reports and intervention reports.
  • Develop and improve quality assurance processes and workflows.

Profile

  • Completed vocational training in equipment technology or mechanical and plant engineering.
  • Ideally, additional qualification as a technician, master craftsman, or a comparable further education.
  • Several years of professional experience in mechanical engineering/locksmithing and/or quality assurance, preferably in shipbuilding equipment.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance standards and methods, and experience with quality standards in manufacturing.
  • Experience with common manufacturing processes in mechanical engineering, component fabrication, and awareness of potential problem sources.
