How a Senior PC Support Manager Will Make an Impact
- Responsible for overall personal computer activity.
- Establishes and implements PC policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring their conformance with information systems goals and procedures.
- Studies and projects PC resource requirements including personnel, software, equipment, and facilities; makes recommendations to management.
- Maintains currency in new developments and technology.
- Provides training for department staff and end users.
- Directs setup and maintenance of library and materials for end-user reference; reviews department staff; ensures security procedures are implemented and enforced.
- Provides leadership in the effective use of internal data processing, automated office systems, and data communications; may manage LAN services.
- Conducts hardware maintenance and minor installations on equipment listed in the task order; understands inter-operational relationships of components.
- Performs minor system tasks such as loading software and rebooting systems to support hardware maintenance and operations.
- Installs and incorporates updates or changes to COTS hardware and software, including diagnostics failures or potential failure predictions.
- Operates and interprets automated hardware management and diagnostics systems, including remote diagnostics, to maintain, repair, or upgrade hardware.
- Plans and executes preventative maintenance; provides recommendations for spares, spares program, planning, and tracking.
- Provides technical assistance to field service personnel.
- Assists in repairing computers, printers, digital senders, etc.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Education: Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience or Master’s Degree with 10 years of experience.
- Security Clearance Level: TS / SCI.
- Required Certifications:
DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II / 8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract.
- IAT II 8570 / 8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent.
- Location: On Customer Site.
- Additional:
Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract.
- Position may require lifting objects (e.g., IT Hardware), reaching, bending, kneeling, and other moderately strenuous activities.
- Travel may be required to support the mission.

The likely salary range for this position is $106,371 - $40,564. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
