(Senior) Mobile Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f/x) onsite / remote in Germany

Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Tester for mobile applications to:

1. Collaborate with product managers and developers to create comprehensive test strategies across all layers of mobile software design.
2. Design and enhance the testing processes and continuous integration pipelines for both Android and iOS teams.
3. Create detailed test plans, actionable bug reports, and follow up on reviews.
4. Write and execute functional, regression, smoke, and sanity tests.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

• A B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience in writing test cases and test plans.
• Proficiency with Android Studio, Android Emulator, ADB, Xcode, iPhone Simulator, and real devices.
• Experience using Git/Github for version control.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar task management tools.
• Experience with defect logging and tracking through to resolution.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, with the ability to adapt testing strategies accordingly.
• Excellent English language skills and willingness to work in an international team.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of iOS (Swift, Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin, Java) codebases.
• Experience investigating test failures and performing root-cause analysis.
• Experience with test automation tools/frameworks and test management tools like XRay, TestRail.
• Knowledge of performance testing.
