Become part of our team and shape the future of the evolving automotive industry in your new role as Development Engineer Rubber Products (m/f/d) in the independent business unit Original Equipment Solutions.

The goal of rubber product and process development is laying the foundation of innovation for the business area Original Equipment Solutions (OESL) to be the leader for highly developed, intelligent and sustainable rubber products for the automotive industry as the best solutions for each of our customers in each of our markets. We are looking for a Development Engineer Rubber (m/w/d) starting 01.09.2025.

Your tasks will focus on the following activities:

• Leading projects for the development of new technologies and processes with special focus on rubber products to ensure selective technology leadership of OESL
• Managingthe internal interface within defined R&D process to peer R&D departments to ensure internal and external process and quality requirements
• Reviewing product developments internal and external with respect to technical content and intellectual property
• Following market trends, exhibitions andfairs to technical development
• Drivingconceptional ideas to patents and or unique selling points
• Ensuringa robust network within the responsible functional area across all technical departments within R&D and all segments
• Constant progression of our specifications in design and manufacturing to improve the product usage for our application engineers to internal and external customers
• Innovatingand/or creatingsolutions to support our corporate sustainability strategy

Qualifications

• Academic degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, automotive engineering, chemistry or materials science
• Experienced in automotive industry
• Several years of professional experience in the area of process engineering / process or product development in the field of rubber products
• Knowledge in production technologies e. g. extrusion, calandering, vulcanisation, injection moulding etc.
• Passion for rubber products
• Experience withdevelopment project work and application of according tools
• Experienced in arrangement and documentation of target driven meetings
• FluentEnglish and very good German language skills written and spoken
• Experienced and respect in contact with other cultures
• Independent working style, good communication skills, ability to work in a team and a confident manner
• Willingness to travel (approx. 10-20%)
