Key Responsibilities
- Oversee last-mile delivery operations, ensuring goals and KPIs are exceeded
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve efficiency and standardize processes across teams
- Negotiate with sub-contractors to secure favorable rates and terms while maintaining quality standards
- Represent DODO in operational topic negotiations with clients
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics partners (3PL) and clients
- Exceed budgeted efficiency, utilization, and productivity across the business
- Exceed budgeted gross profit, optimizing all direct costs
- Continuously look for improvements, challenging the status quo
- Analyze data, track service quality, and identify areas for improvement
- Implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall productivity
- Ensure optimized resources are used to deliver service to customers in excellent quality
- Ensure compliance with established service and operational standards
- Lead and support a high-performing team spread across Germany by delegating tasks based on priorities and setting clear goals
- Provide regular performance feedback, conduct evaluations, and ensure accountability
- Motivate and inspire team members to achieve their best while fostering a collaborative work environment
- Identify and support opportunities for employee development and growth
- Handle conflict resolution effectively and communicate decisions regarding team compensation in alignment with company guidelines
- Represent the operations team internally and externally, ensuring effective cross-department communication and collaboration
- Act as a role model, demonstrating company values and fostering a positive culture within the organization
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing large-scale operations, preferably in last-mile delivery or other areas of logistics
- A track record of achieving business and operational goals in a dynamic environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving approach to operational challenges
- Structured and organized way of work
- Critical and strategical thinking
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive and results-driven attitude with ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
- Proficient in English and German at a professional level
- Food/grocery delivery experience is a plus
