MTG Marinetechnik has been the knowledge and competence center for all projects in the maritime dimension for 59 years. We advise and support our customers at every step of the planning and procurement process - from strategic requirements management in the early planning phase to meaningful capability maintenance during use. We break down the complexity of the process in order to make the key decisions visible. We act as an independent system house and, in addition to contracts for the German Armed Forces, we also take on tasks for industrial companies in the national and international environment. Our experts from the fields of engineering, natural sciences and economics work together in interdisciplinary agile teams and projects. Due to the central and connecting character of the sea dimension, we also serve interfaces to other dimensions such as air or cyber.

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible.

Your tasks:

• Recording and verifying user requirements for software simulations
• Implementation of physical models and concepts in simulation environments
• Maintenance and servicing of existing software solutions
• Selection of suitable technologies, frameworks and tools for projects
• Creation of technical documentation

If interested and after an appropriate training period, an extension of the tasks to following activities is possible:

• Analysis of technical-physical concepts and their mathematical parameters and relationships
• Modeling of the concepts and the relevant physical environment
• Carrying out simulations, analyzing and documenting the results
• Reporting and presentation of the results

Your profile:

• You have a degree in computer science or in a technical/scientific field
• You have several years of experience in software development with C++ and good knowledge of advanced C++ techniques
• Further knowledge of programming (JAVA, MATLAB, PYTHON) is advantageous
• You have experience in creating user interfaces with Qt and MATLAB App Designer
• You have basic knowledge of relational databases
• You have the ability to familiarize yourself independently with new topics and are willing to undergo continuous training and further education
• You have an affinity for technical-physical contexts and scientific work
• You are fluent in written and spoken German and English
• You have a technical interest and are open to the security and defense industry
