Mode of Employment: Full-time or Part-Time with a minimum of 30 hours/week / Fixed Term Contract for 18 months with the possibility of a permanent contract afterwards.

A Snapshot of Your Day

You will be the main point of contact for all Quality topics on your assigned projects (HVDC Interconnector and/or Grid Access projects). Reporting directly to the Project Director and Head of Quality, you will work closely with the Siemens Energy project team and the customer’s QM representative to ensure all quality aspects of project delivery comply with the quality plan you develop. You will supervise project activities with a risk-based approach, support the closure of non-conformances, conduct inspections and audits, and ensure all quality documentation is planned and delivered with final handover in mind.

You will join an international team of quality managers and experts, collaborating to ensure quality management excellence across projects.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  1. Ensuring Quality Standards: Develop, implement, and monitor quality standards and specifications to meet or exceed project expectations.
  2. Reducing Errors: Implement robust quality assurance processes to significantly reduce errors, rework, and delays, saving time and resources.
  3. Risk Management: Identify potential non-conformances, risks, or issues that could impact project quality and proactively mitigate them.
  4. Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with relevant regulations and standards, maintaining legal and reputational integrity.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Continuously optimize project execution through data analysis and process improvements.
  6. Customer Satisfaction: Deliver high-quality results to enhance customer satisfaction, fostering repeat business and positive reputation.
  7. Team Mentoring: Guide and train project team members on quality expectations and procedures, fostering a culture of quality awareness and excellence (both office and site).
  8. Vendor Evaluation: Evaluate and monitor suppliers and subcontractors to ensure they meet quality standards, ensuring a high-quality end product.

What You Bring

  • An engineering degree or equivalent and experience in at least one project-related function (project management, engineering, commissioning, field service, etc.)
  • Experience in operational quality management or quality assurance
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project, contract, and process management
  • Proficiency in quality management systems, methods, and tools such as ISO 9001, Lessons Learned, SWOT analyses, preferably with Grid and Transmission Technology
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Strong team orientation and communication skills
