As a leading supplier of engineering plastics, our Basic Materials & Polymers business develops value-added materials tailored to meet end-user needs and support product development.

About the Role:

You will identify and develop new market opportunities by translating customer needs and market trends into material and design requirements. You will provide technical support, secure business, and drive growth for engineering plastics. Acting as a key link between R&D and Sales during the pre-sales phase, you will generate business and offer insights to shape future products, leveraging your senior-level experience.

  1. You will identify and develop new business opportunities for engineering plastics in key global market segments.
  2. You will translate customer needs into material, design, and functional requirements to secure existing and new business.
  3. You will support the business organization through effective project management and the use of CRM tools.
  4. You will provide technical support to ensure product quality and processing performance.
  5. You will analyze market and technology trends to derive requirements for new product development.
  6. You will develop strategic value propositions and contribute to business planning.
  7. You will create marketing and communication materials in collaboration with the Mitsubishi Chemical Group (MCG) team.

Qualifications:

  1. You hold a university degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or Chemical Technology, with several years of industry experience.
  2. You are familiar with processing technologies for engineering plastics (e.g., injection molding, extrusion).
  3. You possess strong understanding of technical relationships, conceptual skills, and communication abilities.
  4. You are fluent in English and Dutch; knowledge of German or French is a plus.
  5. You are willing to travel internationally (10–25%).
