Job Description:

In this role, the candidate will provide an enhanced level of customer support and operational support for movement of any cell and gene shipment through our Marken's network and that of our parent company, UPS. You will work with our Project Managers and with our global branches to facilitate these movements, tracking through our GPS technology and proactively acting to avoid delays and risks. Project Coordinators will provide a superior level of monitoring for these life-saving therapies.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for successfully supporting daily project operations related to cell and gene shipments, liaising with the Control Tower and Logistics Coordinators as needed.
  2. Support the Project Manager with setup activities.
  3. Complete initial lane mapping to support the Project Manager.
  4. Arrange shipments with local offices and agents.
  5. Book shipments in the Marken Maestro system.
  6. Review lane mapping files with operations teams regularly.
  7. Upload and maintain Maestro templates as required.
  8. Provide daily tracking reports to clients.
  9. Report and escalate any issues to the Project Manager.
  10. Assist the Project Manager with billing and logistics inquiries.
  11. Attend internal and client-facing calls/meetings, providing support with meeting minutes.
  12. Act as point of contact to the client logistics team, responding to day-to-day queries.
  13. Assist in updating activities and milestones in project plans.
  14. Ensure daily tracking and compliance of client-specific paperwork.
  15. Document compliance and make it visible to the client.
  16. Work with the regulatory team to ensure trade compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree, 4-year degree, or relevant work experience as a substitute for education.
  • 5 years of experience in the Pharma, Medicine, or Logistics industries required.
  • Experience in the courier and/or air freight industry desired.
  • Strong knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office programs required.
  • Ability to adapt and handle inquiries & day-to-day issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience dealing with people and clients.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to think quickly.
  • Organized, skilled in tracking, with multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility in working hours.
