Freelance Java Developer (HL7 / FHIR)

We are looking for an experienced HL7 / FHIR Interface Developer to support the integration and optimization of clinical IT systems within a leading healthcare organization. In this fully remote freelance role, you will contribute to crucial interoperability projects aimed at enhancing healthcare data exchange.

Your Responsibilities :

• Develop, adapt, and optimize HL7 (v2 / v3) and FHIR interfaces for clinical systems
• Integrate medical applications and systems across various platforms
• Design and implement interoperability solutions to streamline healthcare data exchange
• Analyze and document interface requirements in close collaboration with IT and clinical departments
• Perform testing and quality assurance of HL7 and FHIR interfaces
• Maintain technical documentation of interfaces and integration workflows

Your Profile

• Proven experience with HL7 (v2 / v3) and FHIR standards
• Strong knowledge of interface technologies and integration frameworks
• Solid programming skills in Java
• Experience working with SQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle databases
• Understanding of clinical workflows and IT systems used in healthcare environments
• Fluency in German is mandatory; English proficiency is also needed
