Your Role

• Analyze and optimize: Work in interdisciplinary project teams on technically demanding software projects across the entire engineering process, from requirements analysis and system design to programming, implementation, quality assurance, and project management. Specifically, analyze existing GIS implementations and develop optimization strategies.
• Design and develop: Responsible for the conception, development, and design of (GIS) applications in an agile environment.
• Implementation and configuration: Support the deployment and configuration of GIS platforms in cloud and on-premise environments.
• Further development: Enhance and optimize customer-specific software solutions.
• Microservice architectures: Design and implement modern microservice architectures comprehensively.
• Project support: Guide solutions from conception to go-live with diligence.

Your Profile

• Education: Degree in an IT-related field (Informatics, Geoinformatics, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent experience.
• GIS experience: Practical experience with common GIS platforms (e.g., ESRI, Precisely, open-source GIS).
• JavaScript frameworks: Familiarity with one of the major JavaScript frameworks (Angular, Vue, React).
• Backend development: Several years of experience in backend web development with technologies like Java or Node.js, working with various databases and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, within an agile environment. Understanding software development as a bridge between business and people.
• Current tools and concepts: Proficiency in modern software development tools and methodologies like Scrum, Docker, CI/CD, DevOps, Domain-driven Design.
• Languages: Very good German and good English skills.
