Key Account Manager (f/m/d) - Ophthalmology

As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for discussing and promoting a pharmaceutical product within various target groups in the field of ophthalmology. You will advise the target groups to ensure that the drug is smoothly reimbursed in the regional selective contracts. Your responsibilities will also include participating in negotiations with pharmacies to ensure the use of the drug in hospitals and practices in the area.

The territory includes parts of northern Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg and Hesse with the towns of Heilbronn, Ansbach, Erlangen, Würzburg, Schweinfurt, Bamberg, Bayreuth, Hof, Coburg, Aschaffenburg and Fulda.

YOUR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicating product and scientific information to specialist groups as well as developing and implementing visit plans based on the marketing and sales strategy in the area
  • Planning and implementing area-specific measures, such as regional training events with various target groups
  • Achieving the agreed targets in terms of sales, turnover and responsibility for the allocated S&I budget
  • Regular analysis of deviations from targets using the available tools (Xsight, Reporting Factory, Veeva) and derivation and implementation of corrective measures
  • Documentation of all customer contacts and continuous revision of the customer file in the CRM system, Veeva
  • Use of digital communication channels (TEAMS, VEEVA Engage, ZOOM, HCP mail function) and implementation of customer power house campaigns for target group-oriented customer communication and to strengthen personal discussions on site
  • Active market observation and forwarding of relevant information to business partners in the office and in the field
  • Participation in national and regional congresses and support for regional opinion leaders and medical officials in coordination with Sales Management
  • Coordination and implementation of regional and/or cross-departmental projects in coordination with Sales Management

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Completed scientific training or studies and a qualification as a certified pharmaceutical sales representative (m/f/d) in accordance with §75 AMG
  • Several years of experience in a specialty sales force, ideally with the promotion of a prescription product in a consultation-intensive indication environment with proven success
  • Strong communication skills and use of different communication channels to address different target groups
  • Ability to independently budget, organize, execute and follow up on events with customers
  • Ability to provide medical service providers with holistic support in terms of medical, health policy and social law content
  • Willingness to work proactively in project teams and with stakeholders in various functions, as well as strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to think analytically and work independently
  • Willingness to travel
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
