Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate Scientist/PostDoc to develop standardized metadata schemas and reporting procedures for video tracking assays (VTAs). The role involves improving research reproducibility, developing web-based pipelines, and harmonizing metadata standards within a multidisciplinary team.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Refine metadata standards and reporting schemas for VTAs based on existing frameworks.
  2. Ensure interoperability and reusability of training data, protocols, and tracking models.
  3. Develop automated, user-friendly metadata enrichment pipelines handling complex video data.
  4. Collaborate with researchers to develop and implement innovative metadata schemas.
  5. Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at international conferences.

Your Profile:

  • Motivated candidate with a Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or related fields.
  • Strong programming skills, especially in Python (mandatory); R skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
  • Experience with Galaxy EU is advantageous.
  • Interest in metadata standards, data analysis, and big data.
  • Background in behavioral analysis, toxicology, or life sciences is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
