Responsibilities:
Support the Group Head of Tax on direct tax matters, focusing on international tax issues and M&A.
Contribute to the development, optimization, and implementation of the global tax strategy with an international team.
Act as a proactive business partner to global functions and group entities on tax projects such as new business models, tax restructurings, and market entry.
Develop comprehensive tax solutions for M&A transactions, including tax due diligence, SPA negotiations, and post-deal integration.
Ensure tax compliance and help develop the tax compliance management system, policies, and controls. Serve as the key interface to external tax advisors worldwide.
Assist in the preparation of tax returns with external advisors as needed.
Support group entities during tax audits in Germany and abroad, as well as during APAs and mutual agreement procedures.
Oversee tax processes from design through implementation.
Experience:
Degree in business, economics, or a related field with a focus on tax, finance, or controlling (e.g., Bachelor/Master of Laws in Taxation or equivalent).
German tax advisor qualification (Steuerberater) is a plus.
At least 3 years of experience in the tax department of an international company, ideally in a listed company, private equity environment, or international tax advisory firm.
M&A experience, with responsibility for tax processes from start to finish.
Industry experience is a strong advantage.
Strong project management skills and motivation to take on new challenges.
