AWS is looking for world class scientists and engineers to join Amazon Q Developer Machine Learning team to develop groundbreaking generative AI technologies like Amazon Q and CodeWhisperer. Our scientists push boundaries in creating agents for code generation and beyond to invent creative solutions. You will invent, implement, and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning solutions at Amazon scale, having a direct impact on revolutionary products used by millions. You will make breakthroughs that challenge the limits of AI and machine learning while interacting directly with customers to bring new research rapidly to production.

About the team
Utility Computing (UC)

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.- PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning
- Experience with training machine learning models at scale- Experience with LLM pre-training, fine-tuning, and evaluations
- First-authored publications at top tier machine learning conferences, e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP, NAACL.
- Familiarity with distributed training and acceleration method/implementation/library for LLMs or large-scale ML in general, e.g., DeepSpeed, Nemo-Megatron, PyTorch Lightning.
