• Title: FAP Educator
• Location: Army Community Service (ACS), Hohenfels
• Start date: July 2025
• Job Type: Part-time (32 hours)
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or social science from an accredited college or university
• experience instructing children and adults in life skills topics. Examples of successful experience are as follows: Instructing children, teens, and parents in developing appropriate expectations of each other, relationships, and appropriate interactions in an educational setting
• experience working with individuals who may be reluctant to participate in a self-improvement program (examples: alcoholics, prisoners, welfare recipients in a mandated job-finding class)
• Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing). Exhibit the ability to communicate in the English language, with references and/or High School/College Diploma or official transcript
• Experience utilizing computer programs necessary for accomplishment of duties (i.e., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet, and email)
• Most valuable is one (1) year of experience using these programs in a military setting, such as Army Community Service. The second most valuable would be one (1) year of experience using these programs in an office setting. Satisfactory is six (6) months of experience using these programs in an office setting
• Experience managing files. Eighteen (18) months managing files in an Army setting is the most valuable, with one (1) year of such experience being the second most valuable. One (1) year of experience managing files in an office setting is satisfactory
  
  

Job Description

• Provide classes and briefings to service members and their families
• Develop, schedule, prepare for, and instruct classes and briefings
• Maintained class record forms, information, and reports
• Develop lesson plans
• Update existing instruction materials
• Publicize all aspects of the educator program
• Administrative support, including data entry, tracking, record keeping, etc
• Prepare and manage reports and correspondence
  
  

Please note that this opportunity is limited to individuals located near the place of performance and in Germany, preferably associated with the US Military under SOFA status and/or Local Nationals.
