Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced CI Specialist / Continuous Improvement Business Partner (m/f/d) responsible for managing strategies that support Xylem’s Lean transformation, focusing on enhancing value to customers and delivering financial results.

You will support multiple international sites to foster lean culture and lead initiatives to eliminate waste through transformations and events.

Locations: Herford or Ludwigshafen (Germany), Sundbyberg (Sweden), Nanterre (France), Montecchio (Italy). Other European Xylem locations are also options. The role offers a Hybrid contract and requires 50%+ travel to assigned sites as needed.

Tasks:

  • Lead CI implementation, standardization, and consistency across sites, including training, projects, processes, methods, and tools to eliminate waste and promote flow.
  • Deliver training and coaching to teams and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with site leaders to align CI projects with their priorities.
  • Identify operational and strategic improvements, sharing best practices and learnings.
  • Mentor and coach in process mapping, 5S, VSM, etc., with cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze KPI trends, identify causes of variances.
  • Create and finalize standard work documents, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business (Master’s preferred).
  • Lean Certification or Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt (preferred).
  • 5-10 years of industry experience in lean or continuous improvement roles.
  • Expertise in lean business systems, capable of working independently.
  • Knowledge of Lean Management, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Experience applying Lean in non-manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to interpret financial reports and P&L statements.
  • Strong presentation, project management, facilitation, and influencing skills.
  • Leadership skills, initiative, and commitment.
  • Ability to drive strategic and hands-on projects.
