Senior Plant Layout Engineer (f/m/d)

About the Role

As a Senior Plant Layout Engineer (f/m/d) for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), you will be responsible for developing plant designs of BESS systems, contributing significantly to the energy transition. You will work in a multicultural team, collaborating across Siemens Energy to integrate sustainable solutions worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design BESS plant layouts tailored to project requirements.
• Lead a project team of electromechanical, acoustic, seismic, and CAD engineers from project initiation to construction.
• Coordinate all involved fields (engineering, sales, project management, installation, suppliers) to ensure compliance with customer requirements, EHS, and standards.
• Serve as the main contact for plant layout with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers.
• Ensure project success regarding time, costs, and quality.

Qualifications:

• Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent technical education with professional experience.
• Experience in international turnkey projects, preferably in HV, MV, renewables, or substations.
• Strong project management skills.
• Basic knowledge of CAD tools (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Siemens NX) or willingness to learn.
• Leadership, communication skills, motivation, eagerness to learn, and passion for the role.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
