IBM Planning Analytics Engineer (W/M/D)


The tasks

  • You are the first point of contact for colleagues from the specialist departments (Controlling, Finance) for our IBM Planning Analytics environment.
  • You will take on tasks in the area of application support, development and administration of the controlling systems.
  • You will support colleagues in using Planning Analytics and provide regular training.
  • You implement interfaces between IBM Planning Analytics and other systems such as ERP or BI solutions.
  • You work closely with internal stakeholders to develop individual solutions for business requirements.
  • You create documentation and develop best practices for the use and further development of the planning analytics platform.
  • You support special projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of the controlling systems.

The profile

  • You have a degree in business informatics, business administration with an IT focus or training in the IT environment.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in the application and development of IBM Planning Analytics (formerly Cognos TM1) or comparable technologies such as Jedox or Anaplan.
  • You have sound knowledge of IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), SQL and ETL processes.
  • You have good programming skills in relevant languages such as Python, MDX, VBA or SQL.
  • You have experience with the implementation and support of controlling and planning applications.
  • You have good knowledge of the business environment, especially in controlling and finance.
  • You have initial experience in project work, ideally with agile methods (Scrum, Kanban).
