Back End Team Lead

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer & Team Lead for our client — an established technology company developing real-time, interactive platforms used across various global industries.

This role involves leading a small development team and taking technical ownership of a scalable backend system that supports high-performance applications. It’s a great opportunity to combine hands-on backend engineering with team leadership in a modern cloud-native environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a backend development team in an agile, collaborative environment
• Design, implement, and maintain robust backend services and RESTful APIs
• Drive technical decisions to ensure stability, scalability, and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including DevOps, product, and support
• Ensure secure, high-availability deployments in cloud-based infrastructure
• Contribute to architectural improvements and best practices

Ideal Profile

• 5+ years of backend or fullstack development experience
• Previous experience in a leadership or team lead role
• Proficiency with Node.js (Go or Python a plus)
• Strong understanding of API development, cloud platforms (AWS / GCP), and infrastructure-as-code
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Fluent in English; excellent communication and collaboration skills

Bonus Points For

• Experience in real-time systems, streaming, or low-latency platforms
• Knowledge of microservices, containers (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
