We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our SCAYLE Payment team, responsible for the complete payment lifecycle, from customer orders within the Checkout to refund processes for returned items.
The team interacts with various internal and external stakeholders, including internal business units, tech teams, and multiple payment providers across different countries. The applications maintained range from high-traffic API hubs to secure, reliable backend processing engines.
What You Will Do
- Maintain and improve our AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Automate deployment workflows with tools like GitlabCI and Terraform, documenting configurations and processes.
- Develop monitoring solutions across environments to proactively identify and resolve issues, responding to system alerts and incidents.
- Stay updated on industry trends, evaluate new technologies, and implement security best practices to ensure compliance.
Who You Are
- At least 2 years of DevOps experience.
- Experience maintaining Unix/Linux servers.
- Experience with Kubernetes at scale.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Go, and Python.
- Knowledge of security best practices.
- Daily use of Gitlab.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Automation skills to streamline workflows.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and a proactive attitude.
- Experience with Monitoring and Observability, preferably Datadog.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Nice To Have
- AWS or Kubernetes certifications.
Additional Information
Work onsite at our Hamburg or Berlin headquarters on a weekly basis, with a hybrid model allowing remote work on Mondays and Fridays.
