Position Summary

A new position has opened for an experienced HR Manager to join our EMEA team, known internally as our Colleague Relations Success team. We are more than a traditional HR department — we are a results-driven, collaborative team leading change through implementing best-practice policies, processes, procedures, and programs. Location

Munich (Office/Hybrid). Travel to the Munich office is required.

Role Overview

This operational role involves implementing HR best practices and driving efficiencies across HR processes. You will collaborate with talented colleagues and senior leaders globally, partnering with the Center of Excellence to enhance functions like talent management, compensation, talent acquisition, learning and development, and analytics. Responsibilities include coaching managers and colleagues on performance management, exit procedures, conducting internal investigations, and managing various HR functions including employment, compliance, benefits, and global mobility.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Serve as the local HR contact for Germany and other EMEA countries for managers and HR centers of excellence.
  2. Coach and counsel on performance management, exit and termination processes, and internal investigations.
  3. Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, including pay equity and health & safety reporting.
  4. Manage benefits offerings in collaboration with the Total Rewards team.
  5. Handle audits and reporting, coordinate between internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Represent the company in labor arbitration cases, working with legal and HR leadership.
  7. Align employment practices with company-wide strategies and compliance standards (ISO, SOC 2, SOX).
  8. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices relevant to the region.
  9. Provide compensation recommendations based on benchmarking and manage country-specific policies.
  10. Lead HR projects and perform other ad hoc duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on operational HR experience, focusing on Employee Relations and Compliance.
  • Knowledge of German employment law; experience with other EMEA countries is a plus.
  • Experience in the software or tech industry.
  • Understanding of HR principles in a multi-country or global context.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build relationships within a distributed, matrix organization.
